The Swan Valley is the oldest wine region in Western Australia. This vital and unique destination is renowned for its world-class wines, table grapes and fresh produce, as well as an amazing array of food, beverage and specialty products, attractions and experiences, just 25 minutes from Perth.

The Swan Valley Tourism Alliance (SVTA) is an incorporated not-for-profit membership-based organisation representing the local Swan Valley tourism industry. Our vision is to promote, preserve and enhance the Swan Valley as a premier visitor destination, and Western Australia’s oldest wine region.

Tourism is a key economic driver for the Swan Valley and surrounds, with an average of 4.25 million visitors and $426m in visitor expenditure per annum (Source: City of Swan Annual Report 2022-23). We work collaboratively with local, state, and national governments, as well as a key tourism industry organisations, such as Destination Perth and TourismWA.

Many of the Swan Valley’s wineries, attractions and venues, are multi-generational family owned and operated businesses. This has cultivated an independent, creative and inspired region enhancing its uniqueness, point of difference and economic prosperity. The collaboration between SVTA members and their passion for the region helps deliver new opportunities to grow the success of the Swan Valley as a premier tourism destination.
